NAG programs aim to improve the public service and ensure government departments and public services are fulfilling the basic needs of communities in an accountable and transparent manner.
NAG implemented National Community Driven Development Projects (NCDDP) funded by World Bank in Pinlebu, Tat Kone townships and Enhancing Rural Livelihoods and Incomes Project (ERLIP) funded by Asia Development Bank in Ngaputaw township. NAG has currently been implementing NCDDPs in Myaung, Bamauk, Kyauk Tan, Kwinchan Kone, Pyawbwe and Yamethin townships where NAG serves as Township Technical Support service provider to the Department of Rural Development (DRD) and the local community. NAG builds capacity of village tracts and village committees and sub-committees to identify issues, develop plans, support detail sub-project development, coaching support for implementation of sub-projects.
Experiences with Community-based Development in Myanmar
Since 2008, NAG has worked on more than forty projects in thirteen states and regions. Working with local and international partners and networks, we are working towards a sustainably developed peaceful and prosperous society. NAG has implemented rural development programs and projects at township, district, region and national levels in Central Dry Zone, Coastal and Delta, Hilly Region and South Eastern Part of Myanmar.
